Awww, poor Max. My Sugar developed a belly rash and was licking his paws a lot. The vet did a skin scraping and determined he had staph which required antibiotics. He was also looking for yeast which wasn't present. He was diagnosed with environmental allergies and is currently on medication for that. Sugar is 4 and has never had allergies so they can develop out of nowhere. I hate to say it but really your only option is to have a vet see him. If you try to hold out and treat him yourself he could end up with infection or other complications that will just end up costing you more (in addition to his discomfort and well being). In the meantime make sure you aren't feeding him anything with wheat or corn just in case it's a food allergy. Good luck- I really sympathize because it's been a pain getting Sugar's allergies managed. Welcome to YT!
