You know what, you're right. We use Advantix, not Advantage. Our vet told us Advantix for dogs is toxic to cats. We have to make sure our cats stay away from the dogs for a little while after we dose them.

Have you ever seen a cat foam at the mouth if they get some of the cat flea med in their mouth?? Freaked me out the first time. Our vet had warned us that you need to apply the liquid a little higher on the neck than you would a dog because they can twist around so much further and lick between their shoulder blades where as dogs can't. Well, the first time I didn't get it high enough and one of the cats licked it. Luckily the vet had warned me and said if that happened, the cat would be okay.... it just looks scary!
