It could be Legg-Perthes Disease. This is a hip problem. My Piper would hop, or be 3 legged than walk perfectly fine. I couldn't figure out what was going on. Brought her to the vets, had x-rays and found out it was her hip. She had to have surgery and still is in the process of recovering.
