I also have a special thing that they are on when I do comb and do their hair. It is only used for that purpose. I got a grooming dvd and in it she said to the dog, "head" to get her to stay still. I started that and it seem to help. Now when I say it, they know that is what I am attempting to do. Doesn't always work but it has definitely helped. Over time I am sure your little one will get used to it.
