Im still learning alot about Yorkies and have done alot of research, Some one recomended a site on here about breeding and It said the smaller the dog the faster it matures. The larger the dog the slower.
I cant remember what site off hand, but quite interesting.

But I do agree the female still needs to be mature and ready to take on mother hood.
