I guess both day and night. here is my situation. my first yorkie was so easy to train. seriously he had one accident in his xpen and he would go overnight and maybe once or twice a month for 8 hours by himself (for the most part someone is home during the day).
this puppy is having accidents at night and not on the puppy pads. He is pretty good during the day, we watch for the signs and since we already have a yorkie going in and out he just goes along for the pee break. we also leave our back door open so they go in and out as needed.
Harley is really a good dog, he is having a hard time at night, which is totally understandable. I think crate training him for his unattended times might be the route to go, I am unsure about what to do at night. I am reading not to leave them in the crate for long periods of time. so should I leave him in the xpen at night with the puppy pads. is it ok to use the crate at night. I want so bad to help him and I don't want to do anything that would harm his little psyche (like leaving him in there for too long at night).
