I had two surgries in Nov, and Dec last year. I had to stay in bed a long time afterwards and Suzi was right by my side the whole time...
Maybe your Jasper is scared to see you in this much pain, he does not know what to do, and is frightend. He could be confused to see such a dramatic change in you and does not know how to react. I Am sure he loves you very much, just a little confused about the sudden change in your behavior. He will start to feel better as soon as you do, and all will be back to normal.
