8 weeks is way to young to give any treatment for fleas.
The ONLY thing you can do is give a bath is Dawn Dish Detergent.
Someone posted to do it this way. Bath in the sink and wash off the body with water. Then lather him up real good with Dawn Dish Detergent. Wrap him in a warm dry towel for about 5 + minutes (giving the time for the fleas to die). Then rinse him off with water. Then use a flea comb to get off any remaining dead or alive fleas...
