Terriers were selectively bred for high energy, quickness and their instinct to kill small creatures. Back in the days of the Yorkshire mines, Yorkies were actually engaged in rat killing contests and their abilities were awesome! Your Yorkie is only doing what comes naturally. |
So true, I have 5 terriers. Lots of natural instinct going on around here. My Westie is the worst about killing Birds. He makes me so mad. But one day I saw a Mockingbird attacking him because he was near her nest.
