I'm not sure about Yorkies but I know why they do it in Boxers and it may be the same reason...Boxers tend to wag their tails a lot and the tails break easily so they dock them at a few days old to prevent them from painful injuries in the future. As for Chihuahuas, my Pixie has a full tail and I don't see any around my area with docked tails...I didn't even know they did it to Chis. |
