I understand and some have one car and the husband is at work and has the car.......there are exceptions but when you get a dog there are things you must know that will take immediate attention and have something in your mind as to how you would handle it. Every case is different and we are not talking about you and yet I would have a talk with my vet tomorrow about how to handle an emergency when he is not available. If he says go to the one 1/2 hr away, ask him how he can expect that be done when every minute counts.
