i have had this on my mind lately and i feel really silly askin this question bc there are probably a million more important questions to ask but this is buggin me.. do you guys ever let your babies cry? for instance, if i put prince in his playpen or in his crate at night to sleep sometimes he will want OUT.. he will first bark and jump up and down, they hell bark and try to find an escape route(this is kind of cute... in his playpen hell push against the door, chew the sides and sniff around then sigh & bark some more when he is unsuccessful), then the whimpering and cries. this breaks my heart and i just cant listen to his cry and do nothing!
this is when i either pick him up or ill lay outside his crate til he settles down and goes to sleep. is this bad? just wondering if maybe its okay to let them cry a little. i heard that if you let a baby cry they learn to soothe themselves.. or is this completely cruel(which i think it is)..
