Sometimes it's as easy as having an attorney send them an official letter. That usually scares people off. When my husband was hit by a truck while riding his motorcycle, I was having a horrible time dealing with the other guy's insurance company. We had a cousin of his (an attorney) write a simple yet firm letter to the insurance company which caused them to bend over backwards to get us the settlement quickly. Since it seems you have someone that could do that for you, just try that simple approach first. I hope it works for you!
