Max was neutered at 10mo old and he is so much more enjoyable as a neutered boy. Before his neutering he was marking in the house (thankfully I had lots of belly bands on hand) and was always trying to prove his manhood to other dogs he'd meet by barking at them or showing them who was boss. After he was neutered it took about 1 week, the marking stopped completly and he is so much more calmer and well behaved. IMO neutered males make better companions.
