Can't really say - you have to decide that. "IF" surgery is needed, yes it could be $1000 to $3000 (depending on your area). BUT - surgery is usually sucessful, small breeds do very well.

Grade 2 is still low grade LP and it could stay Grade 2 forever and he may have no issues at all.

Some dogs progress to Grade 3 and 4 over their lifetime, or it could happen rapidly...

Each dog is different....

Cosiquin is a GREAT daily supplement for this type of joint issue
