I just had my 2 girls done at the same time. I know that spays cost more than neutering. My vet gave a 10% discount if they were booked between certain dates. I paid 835.00 for both of them plus 175.00 for them to both have pre-op blood work done. I felt better having that done...just to make sure they were well enough to go through surgery. I did not have them micro chipped. I did have all the other options though. I even had their teeth cleaned at the same time..and....Sadie had to have a tooth pulled...not a baby tooth either. Yorkies can tend to have teeth problems. The pain meds they were on were, Buprinex and Metacam. They were in a little syringe so it was easy to give to them. They also had an antibiotic to take as well. It's not cheap to have animals spayed or neutered today but, it's better for them in the long run....I just wish I hadn't waited so long to have it done. I was very nervous to have them go under anesthesia. My vet uses sevoflorine, which is used in geriatric "human" patients...It's a very gentle anesthesia...and.....I trust my vet. Good luck with your little guy.
