. Can you get the drug online? You could do a prescription online or via PetMeds - they may have to charge more for shipping, but at least you'd have the right drug.
For ibd, I'd get him on a probiotic, digestive enzymes, and some fiber. Do you have Benefiber there? It is tasteless and you only need to give a tiny dose for small dogs.
A fish-based diet can be of tremendous help to a dog w/ ibd - it is considered the most hypo-allergenic protein for dogs, in general. A homecooked fish diet would truly let the intestines rest and enable them to heal while you're giving supplements and meds. Did the vet talk about a homecooked diet? Or are you more comfortable w/ dry food?
