I'm wondering why in the world is my pup so skittish? She jumps at every sound, movement, etc. She won't let anyone but me pick her up, and even then not every time. She barks like mad at anyone with a hat on
and especially men. I've had her since she was 9 1/2 weeks and we are all very gentle and loving with her. I am calm around her, give her space when needed and never have yelled at or hit her.
Maybe this was from the breeder or parents, who I didn't see (puppy store purchase before I knew better). But I'm wondering if after time things will get better or if there are things I can do to make her more calm?
