I hold her when there's a knock at the door and tell her "be calm. No jumping." And as soon as I let her go, she starts jumping again.

Sorry, I can't offer much advice, but I can sympathize with you! I have a jumper too, my Brandi Blu. I've found there's nothing I can do to "calm" her when people come to visit. I just have to let her get it out of her system! She gets so excited! After a couple of minutes though, she starts to wind down. She can jump about 4 feet in the air!
