I have one and you can tell they are not pleased about it but they put up with it. This is what I did to introduce it to my girl: I simply laid it on the floor unplugged and let her sniff it, and I left it there for a couple of hours then put it away until the next day. I put it on the floor again but turned it on the second day. When I groomed her I would have it just laying there next to her, at first not turned on then the next time turned on. She gradually got use to it. Even when I started actually trimming her nails with it, I would only use it for a minute then let her down for awhile. I increased the time that I used it on her. It took a week but was worth the time, because now she doesn't try to pull her paw away from me when I'm using it.
