Wow, I was going to post the same thread today! I started a running program with Cash last week. The program is in the Shape magazine and it starts really easy, 10 minute walking warmup, 1 minute running, 3 minutes walking x4. It gets progressively more difficult, e.g. tomorrow the ratio changes - we are running 3 minutes and walking 2 minutes. By the end of 12 weeks, you can run more than 6 miles (10 kilometres).

I take Cash with me every time since we are moving into a flat on Friday and he will need the exercise, so I am getting him used to it now.
He loves the chance to get outside and broaden his horizons and he is getting pretty good with running beside me and not tripping me. Hehe, when I see he is straying into my lane, I just say "Where are you walking?" and he goes back to his side. I also use a command to signal that we are changing our pace. The program is pretty tough, but he holds up better than I do and I think that the running will help immensely when he needs to adapt to living in a flat.
I hope he will be fine to do the 10kms since he is about 8.8lbs.
