FYI - this is for WA state
Subject: Puppy Mill Bill submitted by HSUS for 2009 Legislative Session

Today I had the pleasure of speaking with Dan Paul, Washington State Director for The Humane Society of the United States . He was on his way home from Olympia after getting the final signatures and filing Puppy Mill Bill legislation for our state. It will limit breeders to 25 dogs and it includes "standards of care" language also regarding exercise requirements, food & water, etc.

Please don’t forget to sign up and RSVP for the event on February 12th, 2009 in Olympia . Legislators need to hear your feelings and comments on animal abuse and especially on puppy mills.

About pregnant dogs. This post I copied from craigslist and don't know if it is a true or false. Some people decided it RR wrote....

Whoever let out that 'over 500 dogs seized' are pregnant, that's bogus. I'm one of the volunteers, and I can first hand say that at LEAST 40% of all dogs taken are males, and at LEAST 30% are too young, or incapable of breeding, and another percentage are moms with babies at their side, the number was hidiously blown out of proportion, it's more like at MOST 20 DOGS not PERCENT are expecting.

And... by the way,

all of you - you should see those houses. Go to Seattle craigslist and this info re-posted all the time. The pic of Gold Bar house is not shown, so add one more house to posted photos....
