Has there been any changes in her daily routine lately? Do the two of you give her less positive attention now than you did before? Have you been changing the pad regularly or perhaps try laying down a 2nd pad for her to use either in the same area or a different area of the house? Maybe it's time to "retrain" her to potty at the right place? Lavish her with treats and kisses or a pat on the head or verbal compliment.

If it's just poop she's leaving behind and not the liquid variety, it should be a quick and easy clean-up job. Obedience class may be a good idea as it would give her something "fun" to do for at least an hour at a time and it's a good bonding time for you and/or your girlfriend with your dog. Does your family or hers have time to take care of her and to love on her? And would they mind possibly having to go through the process of housebreaking her again? If they aren't dog people and aren't comfortable with housebreaking her, rather than the eventuality of having to pass her around, please do seriously consider allowing me the honour to fly right in and adopt your little angel.

She is a cutie and sounds like she's been very well raised--little slip-ups aside!
