ok...my mom had a very old toilet in a trailer they were renting for a while....and i had watched "how clean is your house"....so im thinking if it worked for them.....maybe for me...........it did........here is what you do........first turn off the water to your toilet.........and flush till now water or very little water is left in the bowl.......now take baking soda and ordinary table salt and make a paste.......put it all around the dirt line............let stand for an hour if you can.................then add vinegar........it will bubble..........let it stand 15 minutes again if you can..............dont turn on the water between the baking soda/salt and vinegar..........then turn back on your water and flush a few times using a toilet brush to loosen the stuff.....it was unreal the difference...it also helps clean the drain.........good luck!!!
