i don't know about the pet insurance but one thing you can try to do is research online for a good vet. (read people's reviews) it is really important to have a good vet that you can trust. i researched online to find a good vet in my area. it makes such a big difference. i feel comfortable going to him, and i know he will not try to trick me into doing unnecessary stuff for my furkids just to make more money.

he makes me feel that he really care about my animals, and would not recommend unnecessary procedures if they are not truly needed.

do you feel comfortable going to the petsmart vet? if you need help looking for a good vet in your area, you can also ask around both here and people you know besides reading reviews online.
