I was just trying to tell what the vet told me and I'm glad that other people have heard different. The only thing I'm not sure of over here is if we have to have the country that we live in do the microchipping or if we can have an American chip placed because they are on different registries and it won't be read in the USA if it's not. That's all I was trying to state in my post, and that maybe they should ask their vet about what their procedures are.
