I agree with the previous poster. If you've been having contractions, I'm SURE that they can sense that a change in coming....or even that you are uncomfortable, and it is making them nervous and/or unsure. And the new bedding......since it's new with no familiar scents on it.........well, could be marking it with their scent.
BUT, I'm thinking it probably has more to do with the baby on the way. That could be a big adjustment they are going to have to get used to.
