Everything that I have heard lately screams don't go. My cousins ex husband wanted to move there while they were married, and she wouldn't go. Then they divorced and he moved there, no money, no job, nothing for him there, but if you knew him, you wouldn't give him a job either. Florida is one of the top states for foclosures, and if I heard right, they are above us right now (michigan) in forclosures, and I thought we were the worst! A couple of years back everyone started flocking to FL for jobs. I think thats why it has become so bad there now.
Sorry I couldn't be more positive. I wish I could, but here where I live, that is where everyone went when they couldn't find a job here that they wanted to have.
Keep in mind though, it depends on what kind of work he wants. Everyone up here went down there for construction and concrete jobs, so I imagine those are sparse now. Cousins ex went to the clearwater area on the gulf, and from what I have heard, has not had a lot of luck.
It's so hard as a mom when your kid has his mind made up on something and he is grown!
