My Yorkie is now 10 months old and I am sure that if I put a pic of him on this site you will all want to cry! He has the worst skin problem I have ever seen on a dog. I have already spent thousands on Vets but can not seem to get the correct medication for him. I am buying pre cooked food for him at the Vetshop that has no preservatives in and is specially prepared for allergic dogs. He had a very big hip operation about two months ago and after that his, then flaky and a little bit irritated skin, just flamed up into something completely uncontrollable. The last time I took him to the vet, after his hair was falling out in clumps and I started to get sores on my own body, he was diagnosed with ringworm. I am just not convinced that it is ringworm. The type of sores that I got from him was not your typical ringworm. It forms a little bump with a blister and it itches a lot. When you scratch it it eventually forms a sore with scabs on it. He has now lost almost all his hair and he really looks terrible. Does anyone firstly know what I could do, or know of a good vet in Cape Town South Africa that specializes in skin problem. I am very desperate! Please help us!
