The more I think about this thread, the more upset I get. 1.6oz is just unbelievable for full-grown. Chewy was exactly this size when he came to us at 3 months. He was the tiniest thing I had ever seen. Actually, having him so small was fairly difficult and inconvenient but we adjusted. Now at 7 months, he is about 3 1/2 lbs and my husband always comments on how small he still is. I still worry so much about him and am always worried that he will get caught underfoot and get hurt, I mean, a large book falling off the bookshelf could do this dog in and that is not a joke. Breeding a dog for this size and then asking such prices, to me, is unethical.
How would we feel if people started breeding white girls who would weigh no more than 115lbs when matured and then aksing prospective adoptive parents to pay FAR more for them than for other races or weights. Think about it. |
