I had MANY gallstones. they are not something to mess with. Many people go into emerg thinking they are having a heart attack- turns out it is gallstones. I had the operation because I had many gallstones and for me- it was an end to the daily pain. They did it laproscopically- 4 small incisions- i went in for day surgery- went home the same day around 3- I can't take Tylenol 3's so i took something that was available from the pharmacits however had i been able to take Tylenol 3s i'm sure i would have been up and around a lot sooner.
Please don't avoid the surgery because you are nervous- EVERYONE is nervous about surgery- it's normal- i cried- lol... but having been through it now- i'm MUCH happier without my gallbladder!
