I think an X-Ray would highlight any foreign bodies in there. Hopefully if it's the doggie flu the rest won't get it. Have they been to any playdates recently. I know in the summer in NY there had been an alert about the doggie flu that was going around and they had said to avoid dog runs, park and the like. So a doggie flu is a possibility.
