Unfortunately the talk didn't go well.
He seems very adamant against another dog but I don't see the issue because we already have one dog to schedule our time around. He says that two dogs will be "like hell". His mom is a bit of an irresponsible dog owner and always had a couple in the house growing up so maybe that's where he's getting this from. We are moving in together in June so technically the decision is partly his. I got Howie right before we started dating so he didn't have to give me the OK to get him. I'm going to have to come up with a way to get him to let me have a puppy! A birthday present from my mother, perhaps. He couldn't say no to that, right?! Sigh.. this is all so ridiculous! Most of the things he dislikes about having one dog would be fixed by having two!
