OMG she is adorable! If Max won't sleep with her, get a soft stuffed animal that is about her size and let her sleep with that. We bought Daisy Mae a hedge hog puppy toy that was her size and coloring. She sleeps with it every night tucked under her chin. To this day she sleeps well at night and we have never been up with her at night because of crying. We are very lucky that she adapted to us well.  Good luck! ~Kathy
