Linda picked up some onsies so that he wouldn't bother the area. She checked him and the area looked a little swollen but not red or anything. Well she checked him again at dinner and the sack was all red, like blood at the surface right under the skin. She checked it alittle while later and the red area moved up towards his penis (it looks serverly bruised to me). She called the vet and the vet told her it was from him licking, well there's no way since he's had the onsie on the whole time and was being watched like a hawk. So all the vet said was that he has seen this in 1 out of 20 dogs. Never told her what "this" was. He is though sending a prescription for pain pills and an antibiotic to her pharmacy. The poor baby. you can see how painful it looks in the pictures. anyway have any of you guys ever had this happen to your baby? Please, she's able to read the responses but for some reason can't post this. |
I would tell your friend to get him back to her vet...I do not believe this is normal. looks like he is bleeding under his skin...Did her vet put him on any pain meds? an antibiotic? I just had the girls spayed...I know they aren't males but, they NEVER looked liked that...If I were your friend I would be concerned about this and bring him to another vet if hers tells her he doesn't need to be seen....JMO
