Confused biting and niping

I'm in the same boat with the same name. I'm trying the no attention when he does it. He usually bites and nips when we are playing. He sucks and bites when he wakes up in the morning or from a nap.

He was going after toes when I first got him, but grew out of that, so I'm hoping its just a stage.

I've invested in plenty of Nylabones (the flexi ones). He's got through a two. That was one of the first things my Vet told me...she has a no teeth on skin policy with her dogs and if they do, just stick a toy or bone in their mouth.

Let me know if some your doing different is working for you.
