If it is more of a concern with females what should be the proper size for a Yorkie female? From what I have read a female under 4 lbs is too small to breed.. does that only take weight into consideration or is there more to consider for example height, size, length etc. For example a 65lb bully female could have a lot of trouble whelping if she is shorter in height with a shorter back etc. However I have seen a large 50lb female do fine whelping given she is taller and has a wider set of hips etc. Does this work the same with Yorkies or is weight the only factor in females?

How small is too small, how big is too big?
