You count 63 days from the first ite, but that date is not always correct because she may not have ovulated at that point. so don't be surprised if she goes beyond 63 days.
You are correct on the temperature, but I have never had any luck with taking the temps.
It appears like this is your first litter. You really should have read up on all of this before now. Get on the internet and read all you can about whelping puppies. You will need to know it when her time is due. Luckily you still have a couple of weeks to learn and ask questions.
Do you have a list of the supplies that you need. Do you have a place for her where it will be warm and quiet. Are you prepared for the possibility of a C section and for the possibility of having to hand feed the puppies. |
