Prayers definitely coming your way!!
My Kissy chewed on some sago palm branches that i was trimming when she was about 6 months old (7 years ago). I had no clue they were poisonous!!
When i went inside the house, i noticed that she was drooling a LOT. I thought she had just gotten a drink. about 15 minutes later, she was drooling even more and getting lathargic. I freaked out and took her to the ER. The put gave her something to make her puke and then started the IV on her to flush as much liquid in her as possible. They also put the charcoal in her stomach to soak up any poisons. I was there with her the whole time. I was hysterical. I couldn't imagine what had happened to her until i thought back on the sago palm branch. The vet said that they were extremely poisonous. I just cried and cried! Kissy was only about 2 lbs. then and i just couldn't imagine losing her either!! I had to leave her overnight and just prayed she would make it through the night. They didn't have much hope for that. TG, the next morning i went to pick her up and they said she was going to be fine!! I was there at 6 a.m when the doors opened and Kissy was still very weak but able to finally eat and stand up. Girl, i know how scared you are!! Prayers do work and i am sending loads of them to your baby girl!!!
