I agree with the spirit of the legislation, I'm just hesitant to think that passing the law would have the outcome that is expected. If we were to completely outlaw the breeding of companion animals in the states there would be plenty of animals ready to be shipped in from other countries. Where there is a market...there will be a producer. And the other countries don't give two hoots what we think about how the breeding stock should be treated.
As with anything it can only be regulated so far and then it's driven out of the country where it can't be regulated at all....this solves nothing. |
There will probably be much disscussion on the bill before it's passed. I'm concerned about the 20 dog rule. I don't have as big of problem with the numbers bred, as I do with the conditions in which their bred.
