Well, longer is better i suppose, but I think that if the pups are born in the next day or so they should be okay. The temp drop combined with the lack of appetite sounds like the prelude to labor beginning, but I've also seen temps drop even lower. But it could be within the next 24 hours, so hope you're prepared. There's usually someone here for you for moral support & to help anyway we can, should you need it. FYI, a little over a year ago, I had a female that had her pups exactly one week before we expected them; surprised us completely! But all four pups were fine and at very healthy weights. |
