The one and only time I have ever been to the county animal shelter here I got furious, walking in they have a huge sign that basically states that they gives animals to labs for testing. We were there trying to find a cat of a friends that had been picked up mistakenly. And as we were looking around I saw a working there dragging and hitting a dog that he was taking on a leash somewhere. I'm surprised I didn't get arrested that day.
I left crying and haven't been able to go back since then. I have no sympathy for people who treat animals so badly.
