sanitary reasons are also a factor here. do you know where your dogs tongue has been? i don't know about your dog but mine licks the floor, her butt, her cooch, and basically anything else she finds palatable. i have found her picking up stray pieces of kitty litter the cat left behind, i've seen her eatting rabbit poop, sticks, leaves, etc.. in the yard. why would i want that same mouth eatting off my plate and spreading germs?

I have to agree.. its gross, my babies are spoiled rotten too but that is one thing that is not allowed in my house. It leads to terrible manners and begging.
