I had to put my Shellsea to rest last night. She was 15 yrs old and wasn't doing good. I cried all night and all day today. I just found out that I could've been with her while they put her to rest. I wasn't given that option I've never had to do this before so I didn't know what to expect.
So now I feel even worse knowing I could have held her until she fell asleep
I'm so upset and can't stop crying. All the vet told me was I'll give you sometime with her. We kissed and hugged her then said goodbye the vet came back and took her away. I broke down while they were taking her and then we left.
Why wasn't I told I could stay with her
