Could be just about anything, but its probably just swelling after an abrasion or insect bite. I agree with putting the antibiotic on it and monitoring it for a few days before you go to a vet - if it does not seem to be bothering Dipity. One of mine had something similar recently, I did the same, and it eventually scabbed over and healed but it took a few days. I almost broke down and went to the vet just for that, but am glad I did not. Old dogs sometimes get wart like bumps, but there is nothing specific about the breed that would make bumps likely that I have ever heard about or experienced. The warts tend to be white little bumps, not the same as a big red swelled bump from a bite or whatever. |
