I've thought about getting an Old English Sheepdog, a Rottweiler, or a Komondor, however, I don't think any of those are good for allergies. Also, after having read more of their temperaments, I'm not sure if I'd be owning one of those anytime soon.
Those are the only large breeds I'd consider... maybe also a Saint Bernard.
