Franklin and Maggie are 10 and 13lbs. They eat Wellness Core or Nature's Instinct Variety and I give 1/4 cup for breakfast and dinner and 1/8 cup for lunch.. so the 1/2 cup sounds right, depending on your dogs activity level. Mine are pretty active. I alter their intake if I feel they are getting too fat or thin but I always use a 1/4 cup scoop and adjust from there so it's not much difference.
