Ok, I'd like to start off with: I love my aunt and uncle DEARLY. I would NEVER ever say anything to hurt their feelings. But, right now I have to vent to someone that won't tell them what Im saying and feeling.
Here's the story:
On Thanksgiving, my aunt and uncle planned that the day after Christmas we would go and watch the movie Marley & Me. It was the day after it came out, so I was ok with that. I was excited to go see a movie that I really wanted to see with them. Well, something "came up" and they couldn't go...
That's ok, we'll plan for another day, right? So, we plan for a couple weekends later. No big deal, I can wait a little longer. Comes time to go see the movie, and guess what. They're sick! Ok, I can't be around people when they're sick due to my disease. They can't help it that they got sick. And they just don't want to get me sick, too. I understand. I little disappointed, but I understand. Now, today, we planned that we would go see it at 4:25 this evening and then go out to dinner. Great! I'm excited! Well, wouldn't you know it, something happens. My brother has been having some bad bloody noses that past few days and got one at school. The school nurse called my mom while we were already on our way to school to pick him up. The nurse said we just HAD to go to the hospital and have it taken care of. So, needless to say, I called my uncle and cancelled the movie night. AGAIN.
We got his nose to stop bleeding, and came home. My brother said he'd be fine if we went to the movie. By now it was too late to go to the 4:25 one, but we could still make the 7:00 one. Ok, there's still hope.
So, we call my uncle, again, and tell him the situation. He says no. They don't want to take my brother if his nose is going to start bleeding half-way through the movie. Ok, fine. I'll wait yet again. We decided on Monday during the day. Me and my brother both have off of school, and my aunt and uncle don't have to work that day. Yay!
Just a few more days of waiting! Well, he called back a few minutes later. They can't go on Monday... So, it's next weekend. But, the thing that gets me is, he can't go this weekend because: 1) He has to go to
her nephew's swim meet (boring, and they ALWAYS go to her family's stuff), and 2) They have plans to go to the movies with
her son and his fiancee. Why can they go to the movies with THEM, but not ME???
We've had this planned for months! They come along and within a few days they're all going to the movies!! I'm having a tough decision now... My other aunt and her daughter are going to see the movie on Monday. Again, she doesn't work, and her daughter doesn't have school. I can either go with them on Monday, wait until next weekend and *hope* that my aunt and uncle don't cancel AGAIN, or go on Sunday with my mom, dad, and brother.
What should I do????
This is such a hard decision for me. Like I said, I love them dearly, but I just don't know if we're EVER going to get to see the movie before it comes out on DVD.
Sorry it's so long, but it feels good to get that out.
Especially since I didn't have to let it out on them.
