Maybe it's a Snickers thing!?
My Snick had the same problem. Weird smell coming, my vet told me there was wax in there and gave me some GREAT drops which when help alot. Snick's wax buildup made him itch his ears. Sometimes if you don't specify, the vet will not tell you about things. Annoying--I know. Also, the wipes will not help with the gunk that is further in the ear.
