If it is just before bathing and I'm getting a mat/tangle out, I use corn starch. I've not found anything that works as well, and it's cheap! If it's between baths, and I'm combing/brushing, I use Crown Royale detangler. It works great.....but - you can use any hair conditioner (watered down) and it will work as well as the Crown Royale or other detangling products.
The Ice on Ice is too heavy, for my preferences.
